Chief of Staff to the CEO
ON-SITE | FULL-TIME SYDNEY
About Naia
Healthcare is one of the most important, complex, and yet under-designed systems in the world. We believe it can — and must — be fundamentally remade.
Naia is building what modern healthcare will become — not just another clinic network.
Naia is structured to give talented people real responsibility and high autonomy early. You will consistently work across disciplines on new, difficult problems that have real, society-wide implications — in an environment where ambition and hard work are rewarded.
Our company spans clinics, products, and software, which means there are meaningful opportunities to work across different parts of the healthcare ecosystem.
If the role below fits you, please apply. If not, we are always looking for exceptional people — and we strongly encourage you to submit a general application.
About the Role
As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will work directly with the Founder and CEO of Naia on the most important priorities of a fast-growing, early-stage company. This is a high-trust, high-exposure role for someone who wants to be deeply involved — not just have a front-row seat — in how multiple companies are built, operated, and scaled from the ground up. You will act as an extension of the CEO, helping prioritise decisions, push initiatives forward, and remove friction across the organisation.
Your work will span Naia Health, adjacent ventures within the broader corporate group, and the CEO’s personal life, projects, and investments. You will be closely involved in how capital, time, and personnel are allocated across the organisation, with visibility into strategy, operations, hiring, and execution at the highest level.
Naia is a young company, and the role reflects that reality: the work is broad, dynamic, and demanding, often blending strategic thinking with highly practical execution in the same day. This role is ideal for someone highly capable, organised, and intellectually curious — and motivated to grow into senior leadership over time. If you want to learn directly from a Founder & CEO, take on real responsibility early, and play a meaningful role in building something enduring, this role offers a rare opportunity.
Among other things, responsibilities of the role may include:
Preparing daily briefs for the CEO that synthesise key information, relevant news, priorities, decisions, and upcoming actions.
Conducting research and analysis on industries Naia operates in — or is considering entering — and developing structured recommendations and strategic options for the CEO.
Taking ownership of high-priority projects end-to-end and ensuring outcomes are delivered.
Managing the CEO’s schedule, priorities, and inbound communications — screening emails, messages, and calls, offloading low-leverage work, and maximising the CEO’s leverage across the organisation.
Preparing the CEO for interactions with investors, advisors, board members, and external stakeholders — including briefings, materials, and follow-ups.
Acting as a representative of the CEO in meetings or discussions when he is unavailable, and ensuring outcomes are communicated and progressed.
Leading and supporting hiring across the organisation, including running interviews, participating in hiring decisions, and helping assess candidates.
Travelling with the CEO for work trips, meetings or site visits.
Managing and supporting the CEO’s performance and health.
Supporting and coordinating the CEO’s charitable activities.
Supporting broader company operational needs as required — which may include spending time in clinics, assisting with sales, or handling customer support.
Being comfortable handling both strategic work and occasional practical tasks (e.g. logistics, errands, or grabbing coffee) as required.
Important things to note about the role:
The CEO is in his mid-20s
The role requires travel
An NDA will be required on commencement
The role spans both business priorities and elements of the CEO’s personal life
The scope of the role is intentionally broad and will evolve as the company grows
Early on, this role will include some responsibilities typically handled by an Executive Assistant. As the company grows, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing an Executive Assistant and transitioning these tasks accordingly.
What You Bring
Formal qualifications or experience are nice to have, but not required. We care about ability, work ethic and personality.
Must be 18+ (we hire on capability, not tenure).
Extreme ownership over your work and the performance, effectiveness, and leverage of the CEO.
Exceptional organisation, reliability, and follow-through. If something is yours, it gets done.
Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence interacting with senior executives, clinicians, investors, and external partners.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly understand complex problems, new industries, and systems from first principles.
High personal standards and the ability to remain calm, composed, and effective under pressure.
Loyalty and discretion — you can be trusted with sensitive information and long-term responsibility.
Willingness to do whatever the role requires in the moment, including unglamorous or practical work.
Ambition and capacity to grow into senior leadership — this role is intentionally designed to allow for progression into a senior leadership position over time.
