Dr Abdolhay Farivar is a Consultant Rheumatologist with broad expertise across inflammatory and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular focus on osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, and chronic joint pain.

After completing his specialist training in rheumatology, Dr Farivar relocated to Australia to continue his clinical practice under Professor David Hunter — recognised internationally as the leading expert in osteoarthritis (Expertscape, ScholarGPS). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and has worked across hospital-based and outpatient rheumatology settings. He is currently involved in clinical trials research with the Osteoarthritis Clinical Research Group at the Kolling Institute.

Dr Farivar takes a thorough, evidence-based approach to care — taking time to understand each patient's individual circumstances and building practical, long-term management plans tailored to their needs. Where appropriate, he works alongside physiotherapists and allied health professionals to ensure patients receive coordinated, comprehensive support.
